Anodizing
A hardened chemical coating that adds durability and an aesthetic finish
Anodizing is commonly used on aluminum and titanium parts to increase scratch resistance and add a colored finish. The process begins with a machined metal part and gets a chemical treatment to etch and coat the part with a hardened oxide layer.
